Madiwala Lake & Boating Club is one of the hidden eco-treasures in South Bengaluru of which many Bangaloreans are still not aware of , it is one of the best preserved Lakes in Bangalore, with Boating Facility available all around the year, it is also home to a large species of Birds. Find Below the Photo Gallery of the BTM Layout Lake and Madiwala Boating Club. The Lake has a 1 km Long Shore line can be used for a long walk and jogging too it is not paved.
For Childrens it offers various types of Play Equipments, the Entrance Fees for Adults inside the Park is Rs.10 and for Childrens it is Rs.5, there is also ample parking space available the charges for which is Rs.10 for two wheeler and Rs.30 for 4 wheelers.
Coming to the Birds this place can be declared as a Bird Sanctury as it attracts a large number of Migratory Birds during nesting Seasons will share the images if i happen to visit during the season.
However on any given day you can easily spot various aquatic birds and do some nature photography. The Birds in Madivala Lake include Spot Billed Pelican, Kingfisher, Storks, Sandpiper, Ducks, Herons, Glossy Ibis, Egrets, Herons, and a lot of other species the list is mentioned in the Gallery Below.

Also do enter your mobile number in the register so that they will call you for any emergency. Dont miss the Life Jackets and fastening them properly, the lake is very deep and has never dried in its long history, because it is fed by processed storm/drainage water.(Yes The water is not fit for Drinking carry your Drinking Water separately) There is an Island in the Center of the Lake please maintain atleast 50 Feet distance from the Island for 2 reasons One your boat might get stuck in the shallow waters and entangle your self in the water weeds and Two it is not safe to get too close to the Bird Nests some of which can be as wide as 6-7 Feet (Remember Spot Billed Pelicans) there will be baby birds with their Mama on Guard for sure!,
