BETL Electronic City Flyover Underconstruction images
Going through old folders i stumbled upon these pictures taken when the BETL Electronic City Flyover was still under-construction, with a Single Flyover of 22km long from silk board to Electronic City and adding other 2 flyovers at Bommasandra and Attibele, this is India's Longest Elevated Highway project. The Construction was executed by Soma initially and then NCC, using pre-cast technology.
It is a 4 Lane elevated toll road (3 Lanes made out to be 4!). And because of the toll collection booth sometimes the time you have saved in zipping through the flyover at over 100kms speed is lost in waiting for the toll payment, this is also a frequent accident spot, but most of the accidents occur by not following the Lane discipline & speed limit  which is 80kms/hour , some motorists have been caught and fined for going over 160kms/hour! By taking the flyover you can avoid getting trapped in 5 Signals which are Bommanahalli Junction, Garvebhavipalya, Kudlu, Hosa Road Junction and Electronic City Junction, and also you can save the toll money by not using this elevated road during non peak hours like 11 PM to 6 AM when these 5 Signals are turned off and the traffic is low. In this Gallery you can see snaps taken at Ozone Manay Tech Park, Dr.Agarwals Hosiptal, Coupon etc, do write your feedback in the comments below, no-registration required!
